Baby Makes Three

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Brenda gently cradled baby Esther in her arms, in awe of this delicate, incredible gift. Nick wasn’t far, proud husband and father, gazing adoringly at his family. As it says on her birth announcement, “…just as she was, she won the admiration of everyone who saw her.” Esther 2:15.

But before Esther was welcomed into the world, I got to shoot a maternity session with Nick and Brenda. I met them in Ft Langley and we had fun exploring different locations around the historic town. This was my first maternity shoot–and theirs as this was their first child!– and I loved it! There was something about capturing the anticipation, the love between Nick and Brenda and the love for this little baby whom they had yet to meet.

The maternity photos were taken with my Canon Rebel. By the time Esther was born, I had purchased the 5d.  Here are  just a few from our two shoots:

Fast forward several weeks…enter Esther Morleigh…

So beautiful…is it ok for me to say that about pictures of myself? I mean your shots are gorgeous. I love how you measure everything out and balance everything so perfectly. Esther says she likes your pictures too…bubbles and kisses to you from Essie.
