White Rock Head Shots: Casalinga Massage

Thursday, September 30, 2010

It was the perfect early-fall morning for the drive out to White Rock.  The sun filtered through the trees, leaves beginning to show their autumn colours. But the morning happily belonged on the beach, with the beautiful Brittany of Casalinga Massage. With five years of spa industry experience, Brittany was working at Abbotsford’s favourite day spa, Wild Orange, when she decided to branch out and run her own home-based massage therapy studio. She contacted me recently about getting head shots done for her website. Something professional, yet organic. And that is what led us to the beach…

Prior to the shoot, we touched on ways that we could create images that represent Brittany and her business. Two things she brought along were her Bible and her journal – her “life.”

Two other things Brittany made sure to bring along were her massage chair (available for mobile services!) and her friend Ashley, who gladly stepped in for these photos…

Lastly, we created a series of abstract images that can be used as wall art in Brittany’s studio…

Speaking of Brittany’s studio…we followed up our White Rock shoot with a visit a few days later and the most wonderful massage. Ever. I can feel my limbs turning to butter again just thinking about it. Her hands worked magic as I not only relaxed, but Brittany worked my back pretty good, too. From spending hours on the computer all day, my poor muscles needed a good, deep tissue massage.

I adored the stylish, serene vibe of Casalinga

Britt, I’ll definitely be visiting you again :) Thanks for such a great session – both at the beach, and at your place! Excited to see how your business continues to grow. All the best! xo Mikaela
