Winnipeg Portraits: Dueck Family

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

You can fit a lot into a weekend visit :) The Sunday morning I was in Manitoba we drove out to Winnipeg, under a sky full of falling snowflakes, for church with family. We met up with the rest of Kelsey’s family, including a couple new, little additions! A happy reunion was had and then we headed to Red River College for family photos. Kelsey attended the college, and knew it was a great alternative for an indoor shoot, i.e. lots of natural light! And intriguing architecture.

One of the new additions, Nienna Verity, which means enduring compassion + truth…

And Miss Sadie…she had her own photo shoot later that day, so watch for those pictures soon :)

I love this one! Still, we just had to get a few shots outdoors in the snow! So, with the babies bundled up tight, we grabbed a few under the sky of still falling snowflakes…and I think I love them even more…

…somehow, there’s just so much warmth in them, even though it was freezing out!

Poor Isaac! The snow was so bright!

I miss these people and this snowy wonderland! Many thank you’s to Auntie Sharon and Uncle Rod for making me feel like home at your home, during my visit. See you all again soon, I hope :) Much love.

So nice to see all these beautiful people, and all in one place! Just wish that place was a little closer! That was alot of work for you in one day and you did a great job! I love the one of just the girls, and of just the guys, and the snowy ones outside…I liked them all, really. And of course the one of C&K on the snowy street lined with pretty houses…YUMMY! :)

Might I add – you did a wonderful job with the indoor shots! You might have been a bit hesitant because you didn’t know the building and you were shooting such a large family indoors, but you couldn’t tell with these photos! The lighting is wonderful. I think you did so well with what you had.
