Whitney + Manolo, a Love Shoot

Thursday, January 13, 2011

They met over a love of food, a culmination of two passions – one for baking, one for cooking. Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts brought Whitney and Manolo together, from two different worlds; he from a town outside of Mexico City, she from a town outside of Vancouver. She drove 2+  hours each day for school, facing 5 am mornings and battling traffic, but in the end…it more than paid off.

He opens the door for her, calls her bonita, and cares for her when she’s sick. She laughs a little more, her smile is a little brighter…and her voice is a little louder! (I bug her about this – it happens when she talks excitedly or is on the phone. Like, with him. Which is often!) And together they’re loving the potential the future holds, and doing so in delicious, culinary fashion!

They were SO much fun to shoot – they made my job a breeze!

Goooorgeous, I must say…and it wasn’t just the pretty light…

Not sure what I, as the mother, should say right now…but you certainly captured their happiness, and their beauty, and the fun they have together! And I really love how happy you are for your sister’s happiness! Beautiful job!
( I was gonna suggest a fire extinguisher for their next shoot, but that might sound a tad inappropriate.) :)
